RefWorks Upgrades Write-N-Cite with Single Document Formatting and Offline Capacity

RefWorks, the Web-based citation management software licensed for Mount Sinai users, has just released Write-N-Cite III from beta. All versions of the Write-N-Cite plug-in for MS Word enable you to insert, edit and format the in-text citations and references in your papers in the output style you choose.

Write-N-Cite III now provides single document formatting, so you can see how your citations and bibliography will look without creating a second "Final" document. Write-N-Cite III also gives you the ability to write and format your papers completely offline. This means that after you download your references, you can write your papers even when you don’t have access to the Internet. Offline capacity is a feature that conference-goers, consultants and others who don’t always have online access have been asking for.

To download the Write-N-Cite III plug-in, select Tools > Write-N-Cite from within your RefWorks account. For details on using Write-N-Cite III for Windows, see the RefWorks online help section Working with Write-N-Cite III for Windows. Levy Library’s Introduction to RefWorks workshop on Tuesday, June 3 from 4-5 PM will review working with Write-N-Cite III online; register for the workshop at our Levy Library Class Registration page. Note that at this time, Write-N-Cite III is only available for the Windows operating system.
